    Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anybody could help with the identification and translation (partial or otherwise) of this following piece I picked up from a charity shop? I know that translation takes times so even just a brief outline of what it means would be gratefully received.

The image can be found here:

    Hi there Ahmed,

It was located in Jersey in the Channel Islands, the name eludes me of the shop however. I managed to find out that it is part of the poem of the mantle, or the Quasidat-al-Burda.

I've seen many arabic texts in fantastic condition for their age so I always have a bit of difficulty in dating them. Do you have any idea as to its age?

    Kind regards,
