    Hello,

after several tries making my own ink I think I found some good compromises. In terms of mixing I still wonder if a sort of shaking would help. Maybe a technique of this kind (from 0:31 on) http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bart+bier+sch%C3%BCtteln&aq=f

Josh has a nice blog-post about this topic where he says that keeping it in a blender for a week and mixing it every waking hour.

Unfortunately I do not know more about it than having seen it on some calligraphic work. If I'm not wrong Mr. Zakariya does it himself. At least I saw it on his website.

You have to find out yourself.

    Hi Addi,

I don't use skype or similar and I don't think I could be of much help. I'm really an amateur and just experimenting a bit with ink and paper.

    Addi,
Tezhip is an art mainly practiced in Turkey and Iran today. It involves very complex designs on a tiny level, oven with mirrored or repeated geometric designs. Since most of the work is done in Turkey, most of the material written about it is in Turkish. Lessons are given in Istanbul at http://www.klasikturksanatlarivakfi.com/ and in london at http://www.psta.org.uk/

    Adnc,
Did cleaning the pens work much?
Also, have you seen this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fypi6dAJB8E
Different ink, but man what I would give for one of those 3 mill rollers.

    Thanks Josh,

yes cleaning the pen reduces that effect. I'm cleaning the pens all the time or recutting them.

Unfortunately I can not watch that video from Germany. On that video there is a copyright. If you could give me some keywords, or an alternative link I might be able to find it myself.
